DBT stands for Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, a modality crafted to assist people to understand, accept, and cope with intense emotions and experiences. DBT is divided into modules specifically designed to develop core skills of mindfulness, emotional regulation, interpersonal effectiveness (communication), and distress tolerance (building resiliency). DBT can be helpful for a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, mood disorders, personality disorders, communication issues, and trauma.
